Ricky Glover, owner of the Boaz Dairy Queen, became a franchisee in 1995.  Currently, he owns two other Dairy Queen locations in Huntsville, Alabama.  Ricky decided to purchase the Boaz Dairy Queen in December 2004. Along with this purchase was a requirement to remodel the existing Dairy Queen building to have the most recent DQ design, Grill and Chill Restaurant.

The Boaz Dairy Queen was known and recognized for its famous freshly breaded chicken tenders, chicken sauce, and baked beans.  Unfortunately part of the conversion led to Ricky having to take the baked beans off the menu because it was no longer an approved item by Dairy Queen.

With the changes made, Ricky has enjoyed being in business and learning what a great place and community surrounds his business. As time moves forward he certainly plans to continue to support the local school systems in the area to help the future leaders of America.
