Geoff and Wendy Elrod opened Golf Zone in December 2005 in its original location near Jim’s Citgo. They moved to the current location next door to Wendy’s in September 2006.

Geoff Elrod started in the golf business as a manager for several stores in the US Golf/Florida Golf chain including stores in Valdosta, GA., Ocala, FL. and Augusta, GA. It is because of the connections he made while managing these stores that he is able to buy some great deals to pass along to his customers here in Boaz.

Geoff is happy to have Marc Sanderson as the Teaching Professional on staff and between the two of them, they have over 30 years of experience in the golf business. Anyone who shops at the Golf Zone will find that they have one of the most knowledgeable staffs anywhere in Alabama.

Golf Zone handles all age and skill levels including juniors, beginners, ladies, men, left-handed and right-handed players and they have a price range to fit any budget. They offer custom fitting and have a driving range facility as well. “It is more important to us that you get the equipment that you need, not for us to just try to make a sale.
