The Boaz Area Chamber of Commerce Annual Banquet was a night of laughter, tears and hypnosis!  After Darrell Nicholson was named Citizen of the Year, Mike Matthews- Educator of the Year, Laura Leeth- winner of the John Thompson Memorial Junior Ambassador Scholarship and Leland Dishman was honored by naming future Teachers of the Year award winners with the Leland Dishman Award of Excellence, the fun began.  Doc Holiday, The Hilarious Hypnotist lived up to his name by asking for volunteers from the audience.  Boaz’s most esteemed leaders, including Chamber Board Members and City Councilmen, fell under his spell and provided the crowd with laughter.  Many said as they were leaving that this banquet was the best they had attended, which makes us so very happy.  This Chamber Banquet will go down in history and will be most difficult to top!
